A wall gives a broad overview of stock, a low counter supports assisted comparison, and a tower creates a freestanding feature. Compare these formats using the same sample merchandise and staff workflow. Select the mix by where customers look and how staff retrieve cards.

FROM MERCHANDISE TO CONFIGURATION

Define the system around daily operation.

  1. 01

Compare wall, counter and tower formats

A wall gives a broad overview of stock, a low counter supports assisted comparison, and a tower creates a freestanding feature. Compare these formats using the same sample merchandise and staff workflow. Select the mix by where customers look and how staff retrieve cards.

  2. 02

    Merchandise and display geometry

Measure the outside holder, including its sleeve, rather than the card inside. Set row pitch so the retaining lip cannot cover the grading label. A shallow tilted support may improve viewing, but test it at both standing and seated eye heights.

  3. 03

    Customer and staff workflow

A customer identifies a card; staff unlock the assigned zone, remove that holder and return it without disturbing neighboring rows. Price changes and stock reconciliation should use the same position references.

  4. 04

    Sample and approval checks

Place the largest and smallest accepted holders in a full row. View the first, middle and last positions with the glass closed and the lights on. Check hand clearance as well as visual alignment.

  5. 05

    Details to resolve early

A display can fit the card body while hiding its certification label. Another common mismatch is approving bare holders and later adding protective bags that catch against the front lip.
